The Oriental Institute organizes an international conference on Feminist Re-Interpretations of Islam sponsored from the Strategy AV 21 Grant. This whole-day event will be attended by some of the best experts specializing in undoing patriarchal and mysogynist readings and practices in Islam. Come listen to Zahra Ali from Rutgers University, Ziba Mir-Hosseini from SOAS, and other female researchers from Turkey, Morocco, Hungary as well as the Czech Republic.
