Students‘ Solidarity Movement and Common Law Society would like to invite you to a talk given by Alejandro Gutiérrez named „Advocating Human Rights in the Middle East“, which is to be held in the premises of the Charles University Faculty of Law (room 38) on Wednesday May 11, from 6 PM.
Alejandro is a young independent researcher on human rights violations and war crimes, who devoted last five years of his life to monitoring conflicts in Central African Republic, Nigeria, DR Congo, Gaza, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, as well as Syria, where he’s been focusing most of his recent attention. After visiting Syria six times since the start of the bloody conflict he would like to speak about the political situation in the area, which led to the shocking atrocities and violations of human rights. The question of responsibility will surely be raised.
The talk will be a repeat of the succesful lecture Alejandro held in April (Alejandro Gutiérrez: Advocating Human Rights in the Middle East). However, the talks will not be completely the same as Alejandro is ready to add some new facts.
The entry is free to everyone.
