Albanian studies academic from the IECEBS at CU FA received the Research Expertise in the Academic Diaspora Fellowship from Albanian-American Development Foundation along with two colleagues from “Fan S. Noli” University in Korca. Together, they will explore the role of cohesive devices in written academic essays in English and Albanian.

Doc. Alenka Jensterle Doležal Published a New Monograph, Slovene Women Writers at the Beginning of the 20th Century
The monograph written by an academic from the IECEBS at CU FA consists of eleven literary-historical studies and an appendix in the form of biographies of the authors. At the forefront of the studies is comparative research on Slovenian women authors in the Slovenian modern period, who have been either overlooked or under-researched in Slovenian literature.
Polish Studies at Czech Universities Celebrates a Centenary. CU FA Will Hold an International Conference as Part of the Celebration
The Institute of Ethnology, Central European and Balkan Studies at CU FA co-organises the conference on 17 October 2023. The opening ceremony will take place at 9:00 am in the Patriotic Hall in Carolinum, where a new travelling exhibition will also be presented, and the rest of the conference will be held at the main building of CU FA.

The position is opened for academics in ethnology or cultural anthropology with any specialization or linguistics or literary studies, historiography (or political science or social science) who focus on Central or Southeastern Europe.
