Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Will Host the International Conference on Chinese, Indian, and Japanese Philosophy

The conference “Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy: Philosophical Encounters” will be held on 16–18 September 2024 at the main building of CU FA. The co-organisers are the Chiang Ching-kuo Foundation International Sinological Centre at CU, the Department of Sinology at CU FA, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at CU FA.

The Faculty of Arts, Charles University, Co-Organized an International Conference on Preaching and Conflict

The symposium within the OP JAK CoRe project titled “Preaching and Conflict: 24th International Medieval Sermon Studies Symposium” took place on 11–16 July 2024 in Prague. The conference was co-organized by Prof Lucie Doležalová from the Institute of Greek and Latin Studies at CU FA and Dr Pavel Soukup from the Centre for Medieval Studies at the CAS

Polish Studies at Czech Universities Celebrates a Centenary. CU FA Will Hold an International Conference as Part of the Celebration

The Institute of Ethnology, Central European and Balkan Studies at CU FA co-organises the conference on 17 October 2023. The opening ceremony will take place at 9:00 am in the Patriotic Hall in Carolinum, where a new travelling exhibition will also be presented, and the rest of the conference will be held at the main building of CU FA.

Medievalists from CU FA Co-Organised Conference on Medieval Studies in the Digital World in Bergen

On 19–23 June 2023, thirteen medievalists from CU FA participated in an international conference organised in cooperation between Charles University and Universitetet i Bergen within the project of the EEA and Norway Grants Bilateral Initiative.

The Centre for Irish Studies Hosts a Conference Dedicated to the Irish Author Brendan Behan

The conference Brendan Behan at 100: Legacy and New Directions will take place on 23-24 June 2023. Marking the centenary of the birth of the Irish author, playwright, and rebel, the conference intends to reconsider his rich literary legacy.

The Centre for the Study of the Holocaust and Jewish Literature at CU FA Co-Organised an International Conference on the Terezín Declaration

The three-day conference, which was held at the beginning of November at the Foreign Ministry of the Czech Republic, addressed the current rise of antisemitism, xenophobia, and racism, highlighted the role of education, and called for redressing the wrongs of the Holocaust. The event also focused on the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.
