Nominations for the Jan Palach Award and the Růžena Vacková Award Accepted by 20 March

Both awards are intended for students, graduates and alumni of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. The awards are given for work completed while studying in the calendar year 2023. Proposals can be submitted by all members of the academic community.

Displaced Persons due to the Armed Conflict in Ukraine Can Apply to Charles University without a Fee

Based on the Rector’s Measure No. 5/2024 of 19 February 2024, applicants who have been granted temporary protection in the Czech Republic due to the armed conflict in Ukraine are exempt from the administrative fee for the admission procedure and the fee for the recognition of diplomas.

Career Day at Charles University to Help with Employment and Career Growth

The event is taking place on 13 March 2024 in Kampus Hybernská and is intended for all students and recent graduates of Charles University, regardless of their faculty or study programme. It supplements the concept of career fairs organized by the individual faculties where specific employers usually present their opportunities.

The Prestigious Journal of Archaeological Science Published an Article on the Research of Long Neolithic Mounds in the Vicinity of Říp Mountain

The co-authors of the article “Neolithic long barrows were built on the margins of settlement zones as revealed by elemental soil analysis at four sites in the Czech Republic” are Dr Martin Janovský and Dr Laszlo Ferenczi from the Department of Archaeology at CU FA.

“Opening” of the Faculty of Arts on 21 January 2024

On Monday, 21 January 2024, one month after the tragic incident at CU FA, we will gather as an academic community to remember and honor those we have lost. During this time, we will be granting limited access to the main building of CU FA, allowing students and lecturers to temporarily return.

MA and PhD Students Apply for University Consortium Training Modules by 31 January

The training modules focus on the relations between Russia, Europe, and the USA from historical, sociological, political, intercultural, and anthropological perspectives. CU FA students can apply only for the module taking place in Sofia, Bulgaria on 7–11 March 2024.

Come and make pottery during the exam period. You can make your own ideas come true, suitable for self-realization. Currently, there are ten spots for one class, but the capacity should be expanded in the future. One class takes about two hours.
