Boris Nemtsov Academic Centre for the Study of Russia Launched

The centre is going to provide a platform for experts, cooperate with other research and academic institutions, and organise public lectures, summers schools, research seminars and conferences.

Doc. Michal Pullmann Becomes the New Dean of CUFA

Doc. Michal Pullmann is a CUFA alumnus, having studied History and Sociology. Since 2010, he has been Director of the Department of Economic and Social History, CUFA, where he made his habilitation in 2014 with a thesis on The End of the Experiment. Reconstruction and Fall of Communism in Czechoslovakia.

Boris Nemtsov Academic Centre for the Study of Russia Established at CUFA

On 17 January, Mirjam Friend, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and Zhanna Nemtsova, founder of the Boris Nemtsov Fund, signed a contract establishing the Boris Nemtsov Academic Centre for the Study of Russia at the Faculty of Arts.

Fundraiser for the Mosul University Library Continues Until 31 January

Let’s help the Library! (Pomozme knihovně!) is a charitable fundraiser organized in order to aid the restoration of the Mosul University library. The fundraiser is organised by the Faculty of Arts in cooperation with People in Need.  As of 15 January, the fundraiser has managed to collect 201 567 CZK.
