CfP: Ireland in Europe – 5th International Postgraduate Conference in Irish Studies

Paper proposals representing postgraduate projects in the area of Irish Studies are invited for an international conference that follows the success of “The Politics of Irish Writing” (2009), “Boundary Crossings” (2011), “Tradition and Modernity” (2013) and “Influences, Intersections, Interactions” (2017). As in previous years, we wish to offer discussion space for graduate students working in Irish Studies. We particularly welcome those working outside the Anglophone academic environment.

Professor Josef Opatrný Receives the Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle

Professor Josef Opatrný, head of the Centre for Ibero-American Studies at CUFA, received the prestigious Mexican Order of the Aztec Eagle, the highest honour awarded to foreigners. International Autumn School of Finnish Studies in Prague

The aim of the project is to organise annual meetings of students and teachers of Finnish studies from four universities in three different countries. The meetings include lectures, conference papers, research projects presentations, and exchanges of experience. The event is also an opportunity to network and to discuss other forms of cooperation.
