The Founder of Czech Indonesian Studies, Zorica Marta Dubovská, Passed Away

On 6 December 2021, Zorica Dubovská, one of the most prominent persons of the Czechoslovakian-Indonesian relations in the past seventy years, passed away aged 95.

Prof Tomáš Halík Received Two Major Awards

The International Institute for Hermeneutics at the University of Warsaw appointed Tomáš Halík (Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts, Charles University) an honorary professor. Simultaneously, Prof Halík has become the first foreign laureate of Józef Tischner Award for prominent intellectuals, journalists, and social activists.

CU’s Discovery Service: Searching Made Easy

A little over two months ago, Charles University launched its new discovery service UKAŽ facilitating the simultaneous and smooth search of printed, digitised and electronic resources. The system was a complete redesign and streamlining of its forerunner, integrating the catalogues of more than 60 CU libraries.

The Centre for the Study of the Holocaust and Jewish Literature was established in 2010 at the Department of Czech and Comparative Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
