Charles University Supports Free and Independent Ukraine
The management of CU, and the Board of the Academic Senate of CU wish to express solidarity with Ukraine and the hope that current developments escalating in the country will be resolved by peaceful means. CU FA endorses the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and unequivocally condemns the violation of the territorial sovereignty by the Russian Federation.
The Largest Embalming Cache Ever Found in Egypt Unearthed at Abusir
For more than three decades, the Czech Institute of Egyptology has been exploring a cemetery dating to the late Dynasty 26 or the early Dynasty 27 (the second half of the 6th century B.C.E.). A unique embalming cache has been unearthed with a total of 370 large pottery storage jars and several smaller artefacts, it is one of the largest finding from Ancient Egypt.
The Protagonist: New Student Academic Journal Founded by Students from CU FA
The Protagonist was founded by students from the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures at CU FA. Thematically, it is focused on anglophone countries that are examined from various perspectives. Being an interdisciplinary project, all students from Charles and other universities may join in.
