Support and Assistance for Students and Staff

The Management of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (CU FA), strives to create a supportive and motivating environment for work, education, and social interactions, in which the rights and dignity of all members of the university community are respected. As part of this effort, the Management systematically addresses the development of support for staff and students in the form of benefits, support and consultation services and assistance. The faculty also established FaceUp (Nenech to být) application to report incidents of inappropriate behaviour and has implemented an Ombudsman of the faculty. The latter two points are supported, amongst others, by the Rules against Bullying, Sexual Harassment, and Abuse of Authority for all members of the CU FA community.

Students of the CU FA have a wide range of services at their disposal that support their personal, career, and study development. There are also several student societies organizing various events. Students-parents may also use the services of CU FA Day Care.

CU FA strives for a work, educational, and social environment in which the rights and dignity of all members of the university community are respected. Therefore, it operates FaceUp (Nenech to být) platform to report inappropriate behaviour or suggest improvements to the work environment and psychological well-being of staff, teachers, and students.

Ombudsman is a public advocate whose role is to co-create a respectful, just, and positively enriching educational and work environment. The Ombudsman resolves suggestions addressed by the members of academia (students and teachers) and other employees and provides training against inappropriate behaviour.

Rules against Bullying, Sexual Harassment, and Abuse of Authority

Charles University strives to create a work, educational, and social environment in which the rights and dignity of all members of the university community are respected.

CU FA shall undertake the necessary steps to guarantee a positive study and work environment, which includes a zero-tolerance towards bullying, sexual abuse, and abuse of authority. Similarly, CU FA shall provide timely assistance to victims of such behaviour, promptly and justly investigate any such case, and seek solutions and remedies.
