Tibor Gintli: The Main Periods of Hungarian Literature

The Faculty of Arts, Charles University, invites you to a lecture by Hungarian literary academic Prof Tibor Gintli (ELTE, Budapest).

The lecture aims to give an overview of the periods of Hungarian literature from the beginnings of Hungarian literacy to the 21st century. This brief introduction to the history of Hungarian literature can, of course, only be schematic. It is confined to delineating the boundaries of the periods, presenting the most characteristic tendencies of each era and highlighting its most significant aesthetic achievements.
