Nathan J. Brown: America, Israel, and Palestine in the Wake of the Gaza War

The Department of the Middle Eastern Studies CU FA invites you to a lecture by Dr. Nathan J. Brown (George Washington University) titled “America, Israel, and Palestine in the Wake of the Gaza War.”

Professor Nathan J. Brown of George Washington University is a leading global expert on Islam and politics, constitutional law in Arab countries, Egypt, and Palestine. His latest book, the fourteenth in his career, is titled Autocrats Don’t Always Get What They Want (University of Michigan Press, 2024). In addition to his academic career, Professor Brown has also served as an advisor in drafting the Palestinian constitution, collaborated professionally with organizations such as USAID and the United Nations, and from 2013 to 2015, he led the largest academic organization focused on Middle Eastern studies, the American Middle East Studies Association (MESA).
