The Christmas Charity Book Swap / Sale, organised by the Department of Anglophone Literatures and Cultures and the student society Schwa, is an opportunity to:
– sell / swap books you no longer need
– obtain books and journals published by DALC for nominal prices
– eat some Christmas sweets in good company
– contribute to a worthy charity project
The proceeds will be donated to the campaign “Skutečný dárek / Real Gift“, run by People in Need. The “real gifts” include books for children who have little or no access to reading materials, saplings for farmers fighting erosion and drought, sanitary products for women from developing countries, or stoves and fuel for war refugees.
