East European Club at the Faculty of Arts and Kulturus are happy to invite you to a debate with the leader of Crimean Tatars Refat Chubarov. Mr Chubarov served as the chairperson of the Crimean Tatar parliament Mejlis up to its abolishment after beginning of the Russian occupation of Crimea. He also served as an MP in the Ukrainian parliament. Together with Mustafa Dzhemilev, he is currently one of the main advocates of the rights of Tatars in Crimea. Russia has been trying to have him listed by the Interpol. He is also forbidden from entering Crimea.
Mr Chubarov will make a short speech, and then the audience will have the opportunity to ask questions. The Ukrainist Lenka Vichová will serve as host of the discussion.
The whole event will be interpreted into Czech.
