Ondřej Perušič Became the World Champion in Beach Volleyball

A graduate of the Faculty of Law, Charles University, and a student of history and political theories at CU FA, won the gold medal in pair with David Schweiner at the World Beach Volleyball Championships in Tlaxcala, Mexico. Both of them qualified for the Olympic Games in Paris next year.

Mgr. Ondřej Perušič comes from a volleyball family. “I grew up in a sporting environment from a young age. Until I was nineteen, I combined beach volleyball with floorball. But then, it was necessary to make a decision and devote myself to one of the sports. Among my greatest achievements, there is definitely my participation in the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2021, the title of European Vice-Champion last year, and several national championship titles,” he said in a short interview for CU FA in April 2023. At CU FA, he studies modern history with a focus on international relations, and he has just enrolled in the follow-up master’s programme Political Theories. He graduated from the Faculty of Law CU with a thesis on the role of a sportsman as a businessman in commercial law.
