The film’s story begins in 1955 in Constantinople. A nineteen-year-old girl Polyxeni has to leave her younger brother and is adopted by a wealthy family. Her new life begins – she studies, grows up, and falls in love. After the death of her foster father, she is left with a considerable inheritance – another challenge in her life.
