The Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, Charles University (FTVS UK), cordially invites you to take part in the 11th run of Motions Brings Me Joy and Warmth (Hřeje mě pohyb). It will take place at the athletic stadium of the FTVS UK (Veleslavín, Prague, José Martího 31) on Tuesday, 15 April 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 pm. Everyone who loves movement and wants to support a good cause is welcome, from Charles University and the general public.

You can join the event anytime between 2:00 and 6:00 pm. You can participate in the ceremonial start, which is planned for 2:00 pm, and pick up the chips that will measure the distance you will have run from 1:30 pm. It is also possible to run in teams, in which the relay pin will be handed over.
This year the participants are running in support of the Run and Help project, organized by Konto Bariéry. The raised fund from the charity runs will be donated to the purchase of sports prostheses for Kuba, Elen, and Péťa. All three of them have to go through their lives without a hand, but they would like to do sports, ride bikes, or ski like anyone else.
The final destination is the Swedish capital, Stockholm, where the Charter 77 Foundation was founded by František Janouch at the end of 1978. Therefore, the participants have a distance of at least 1,273 km ahead of them. Konto Bariéry is the longest-running collection in the Czech Republic intended primarily for people with disabilities and is the best-known activity of the Charter 77 Foundation.
This year, the event is also connected to the student initiative Sport Connects implemented as part of the Youth Connect for Ukraine project. The project, supported by the British Council, allows students and the general public to express solidarity with Ukraine through sport and active participation in public life. The project finishes on 15 April 2025 as a part of the Motion Brings Me Joy and Warmth charity run.
The partners of this run are the Czech Paralympic Committee, the Journey to a Dream project, and the companies Decathlon, KPMG and Mattoni.
FTVS UK usually holds this charity-sports event twice a year – in spring and autumn. The event was created in the spring of 2022 to support physical activities, sports, and the integration of various groups in society. Through movement (running or walking), FTVS UK expresses support for various actions, activities, and people who need help.
