The two-year EU-funded project was launched at the end of November by partners Inalco University in Paris (the main coordinator of the project and organiser of the meeting), Taras Shevchenko State University of Kyiv, Charles University, and University of Warsaw. The Faculty of Arts, Charles University, was represented by Dr Stanislav Tumis from the Department of East European Studies and Nazarii Deineka, a student of East European Studies.

The project aims to support the development of Ukrainian Studies in Europe and, indirectly, the current accession process of Ukraine to the EU. The activities will include an in-depth analysis of the current state of Ukrainian studies or the organisation of a conference in Warsaw in 2025. Finally, the consortium will present to European universities and decision-making bodies a roadmap for the development of Ukrainian studies that will respond to the new needs of the field.
