Charles Games Released a New Game, “Playing Kafka,” to Mark the Centenary of Kafka’s Death

The game, developed by a spin-off company of Charles University in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Prag, introduces Franz Kafka and his works The Trial, Letter to His Father, and The Castle. Lecturers and graduates from the Institute of Information Studies and Librarianship at CU FA cooperated on the game’s production, namely doc. Vít Šisler, Dr Lukáš Kolek and Ondřej Trhoň.

“Playing Kafka” has a fully dubbed branching story, atmospheric puzzles, fateful decisions, and “drag-and-drop” gameplay, which makes the characters and environments come to life. The game has about an hour-and-a-half-long story set in an ever-changing environment.

The game is available in Czech, English, and German, completely free of charge. You can download it from the Apple App Store, Google Play or Steam.
