On 21 February 2024, a Romanian studies lecturer from the Institute of Ethnology and Central European and Balkan Studies at CU FA received the Romanian state decoration in the rank of Officer from the Romanian Ambassador to the Czech Republic, Antoaneta Barta. It was awarded by the President of Romania, Klaus Werner Iohannis, for the promotion of Romanian language and culture in the Czech Republic.
She received the award as the Head of the Romanian Studies at CU FA, for her translations of Romanian literature into Czech, her university and public lectures, co-authorship of numerous monographs on the history of Romanian literature and, last but not least, for the education of new generations of Romanianists.
