Charles University offers deepest condolences to the survivors and families who lost loved ones in the severe and violent crime in Bratislava. Two young people died in the attack. The tragic incident is all the sadder because it was motivated by hate towards a group of people; it has come as shock to all, including the academic community. Charles University condemns any form of violence and will always promote – and champion – equal opportunities, tolerance, freedom and democracy.
