In relation to the armed conflict in Ukraine, the Boris Nemtsov Foundation for Freedom, the Zimin Foundation, and the Faculty of Arts, Charles University, announce five two-year scholarships for Ukrainian citizens.
The scholarship is intended for people aged between 18–26 years who are not enrolled in any study programme at any university (and therefore cannot apply for scholarships offered by the Czech Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport) but are interested in studying at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University.
Details of the scholarship programme:
- Scholarship of 15,000 CZK per month for the first 12 months.
- During this period, the student is to attend an intensive Czech course under the Czech Studies programme (starting in May 2022). The student pays for the course by himself/herself at a reduced price of 4,800 CZK per month.
- During this period, the student is to prepare for the entrance examination of the respective study programme at Charles University, Faculty of Arts and may attend selected lectures at the faculty.
- The scholarship of 15,000 CZK per month for the following 12 months is awarded on condition that student passes the entrance examination and becomes a regular student.
- The Faculty of Arts can provide free accommodation upon request
- Applicants needs to provide a written proof or declaration of their financial situation
- Applicants will be asked by e-mail to provide a copy of their passport and proof of completed secondary education.
