With great grief, we inform that on Monday, 11 October 2021, a long-term teacher of Mongolian studies and researcher of Mongolian philology, docent Jugder Luvsandorj, passed away aged 82 years.
In Mongolian studies, he is known mainly as the co-author of one of the most used textbooks of colloquial Mongolian and for his almost revolutionary translation of The Secret History of the Mongols into Modern Mongolian. He has educated several eminent foreign mongolists and several generations of Czech mongolists.
