Information for Applicants of the Faculty of Arts, Charles University (26 April 2021)

Having regard to the epidemic situation and Government measures, the CU FA Academic Senate has passed an amendment of the conditions of the admission process.

BA and Follow-Up MA Programmes (submission of applications is closed):

  • regular and alternative dates of admission examinations: 1 June – 9 July 2021 (alternative date always at least 5 days after the regular one); in case of a worsened epidemiological situation, the examinations may be held in the period 10–30 July 2021,
  • the announcement of results of admission examinations in the electronic system: 7 days after the date of the last examination at the latest,
  • a number of programmes have cancelled the admission examinations or changed their forms,
  • for compelling reasons, an oral examination can be held in the form of a videoconference,

We ask all applicants to be aware of the potential changes of all programmes where they apply.

PhD Programmes (the applications can be submitted by 30 April 2021 at midnight):

  • regular dates of admission examinations: 9–16 June 2021,
  • alternative dates of admission examinations: 22 and 28 June 2021,
  • the announcement of results of admission examinations in the electronic system: 7 days after the date of the last examination at the latest,
  • the admission examinations of all programmes remain unchanged along with their contents,
  • the admission examination can be also held in the form of a videoconference,

Applicants of programmes, which will hold an admission examination, will receive an electronic invitation 15 days in advance at the latest, including the date of the examination, details about the procedure, and current measures (obligatory negative covid-19 test for in-person examinations, etc.).
