On 11 July 2016, Dr Vidya Yeravdekar, the Principal Director of Symbiosis Society which includes the Symbiosis International University, one of the best non-state universities in India, visited the Faculty of Arts. During her visit, she signed an agreement about cooperation between the Symbiosis International University and CUFA, which shall allow student exchange and cooperation in teaching and research.
This is the first inter-faculty agreement between CUFA and an Indian university. CUFA places great emphasis on direct cooperation with the economically growing strategic region of South Asia. In this respect, CUFA is especially grateful to Professor Josef Vacek and the former Ambassador of India to the Czech Republic, Mr J. E. D. P. Shrivastav, whose negotiations were at the beginning of this cooperation.
