            Science and research is, besides teaching, one of the most important activities of the Fac

            Charles University in Prague (CUFA); the two spheres complement one another and blend toge
            standards of the research taking place at the CUFA reflect the specialised profiles of Fac
            which provide good quality education at undergraduate level while ensuring the future of t

            educating young academicians in doctoral programmes. One of the essential conditions for t
            science is the establishment of cooperation with other Czech, Slovak and foreign universit
            tertiary education institutions, the natural partners of the Faculty of Arts are the Acade

            the CR and other scientific and research institutions.
            International cooperation has been developing at all levels – the Erasmus exchange program

            between the individual departments and institutes of the CUFA with foreign centres special
            same fields, grant facilities, long-term attachments and short-term study stays and lectur
            and conferences. One of the profiling activities of all departments and institutes at the 

            organisation of conferences, either periodic or one-off conferences on specific themes.
